Welcome to AspireNZAs many of you may notice, the AspireNZ website now has a new look and feel. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to contact us. AspireNZ is an interactive decision support system that asparagus growers can use to help achieve higher yields and better long-term crop performance by monitoring and managing root carbohydrate (CHO) content during the crop’s annual growth cycle. The system was developed by Crop & Food Research in association with the New Zealand Asparagus Council and funding has been provided by the New Zealand Asparagus Council and Technology New Zealand. AspireNZ was described fully in a paper presented at the 10th International Asparagus Symposium at Niigata, Japan in September 2001. The paper can be downloaded (PDF 197 kb). AspireNZ has two sections. The public section contains general information about the system, and the secure section is available only to registered users. The system has been optimised for use with Internet Explorer, although it can be accessed with recent version of any of the standard internet browsers. Registered users can proceed directly to Login.
